Abbey Ruins

The first weekend my mom was here, we rented a car and drove out to some villages nearby. This was Bury St. Edmonds. These are ancient ruins of the abbey, built around 1016. One description we read of the ruins reminded this person of 'petrified porridge'.

Hi Dallis,

It was lovely to meet you this morning in Borders Bookshop, Cambridge (UK).

I see you have visited the Abbey ruins in Bury St Edmunds.
In autumn, the squirrels there are so tame that they will take food from your outstretched hand!
Lavenham is also very beautiful - I am glad to see you managed a visit there, too.
We will get together with a few more creative souls in June for a 'crafty' chat.
I will email you, shortly - I adore your yarns and colourways!

Kind regards
Stephanie
